This month has been amazing for discovering great new products, routines, and other inspiring things. As I gear up for my most anticipated “Zero-Waste June”, I have been really excited about natural and organic products. Here are my top 5 new things this month:
-
Adorn Dry Shampoo

Okay, the first day I tried this stuff, I went to a Barre-Fitness class and throughout the workout, I couldn’t figure out why I was smelling chocolate the whole time until finally, it hit me. Duh, it’s my new Dry Shampoo! The only complaint I have is that its a little messy to apply but, It honestly smells like a peppermint mocha, works amazingly well to soak up the 2nd-day (or 3rd, let’s be honest) hair grease, is all natural and is locally made. Need I say more?
Get it here at Adorn Infusions or at one of their local vendors here
2. MEC Fairtrade/ Organic cotton t-shirts

These 95 % organic cotton and certified fair-trade t-shirts are such great basics. They can be dressed up or down, are from Mountain Equipment Co-op (a Canadian outdoor retail co-op), and are only $18! You can feel great about this purchase by avoiding fast-fashion chains and supporting a Canadian company plus, it won’t break the bank. Shopping at MEC does require a membership but, its only $5 for a lifetime membership and they offer so much more than just their products including, using 1% of all sales towards planet conservation and other great initiatives.

3. Yoga Tea
I used to be obsessed with a Bengal Spice tea ages ago and this tea reminded me of those great days. The perfect combo of sweet and spicy that transports you to, what I can only imagine might be, a yoga studio by the beach at sunset. Unfortunately, I got this tea from the Red Bush Tea Company in Kensington which has now shut down *insert sad face emoji here*. I will do my best to find a good replacement and link it here. Please comment below if you have any for me to try.
4. Gratitude journaling
This practice has been a major mind-shift for me. It forces me to focus on the positives of my day and set great intentions for my life. I started Gratitude journaling about a year ago but, it kind of fell of the bandwagon a while ago until this month. It feels so good to be back in my routine again. Here is how it works: Everyday I write “Today I am grateful for:” followed by at least three things that I feel grateful for that day (big or small) and one intention for the day/week written as though it was just like the previous points. If you are interested in learning more and want me to write a whole post on this, leave a comment below and I will dive deeper into my routine and suggest some other great articles and books on it as I am definately not an expert.
5. RMS un cover-up
This concealer is amazing! It comes in so many shades that this one is actually highlighting for me (Shade 000- yes, I am just about translucent), It is all natural and organic, and is super hydrating under my eyes. I don’t know how it would do with oily skin and it already is quite an oily consistency but, I find that if I set it with a powder, it sets quite nicely. It is a little expensive and currently, Sephora only sells it online so you would have to know what shade you needed ahead of time but, I think it’s worth it. in the past 3 weeks, It has become the only face makeup that I have been using at all.
